BudgetInMind features are clustered in modules to best fit your needs
BudgetInMind for iPad
BudgetInMind for iPad offers the core functionality limited to one user and one currency per database (file). The trading module is not enabled. It offers the following general modules:
- Files compatibility across all version: Including full compatibility with BudgetInMind for Mac. Copy/move file from/to your Mac using either iTunes or your Dropbox account.
- General account entry: All accounting modules necessary for the proper functioning of the double-entry engine
- Multiple bank institutions: You can have as many bank institutions as you like
- Multiple bank accounts: You can have as many bank accounts as you like within a Bank institution
- Multiple years: Create as many years as needed, and keep your historical records in one global database
User Module
Adds the user module to BudgetInMind for iPad. It allows you to record accounts for different users separately while still using the same global account structure. This module brings the following additions:
- Multiple users: Add as many users as necessary. Each user has its own book, budget, balances, etc.
- Multiple users aggregation: Consolidate the entire Budget view across all users. Allows to see the entire household finances while keep separate accounting per user
Currency Module
Adds the currency module to BudgetInMind for iPad. It allows you to record accounts for different currencies separately while still using the same global account structure:
- Multiple currencies: Add as many currencies as necessary. Each currency has its own book, budget, balances, etc.
- Multiple currencies aggregation: Consolidate the entire Budget view across all currencies, to see the entire household finances while keeping separate accounting per currency. Consolidation engine can be set to simple or expert mode (See help section 6.14)
- Custom currency formatting: Define how each currency should look like
Trading Module
Adds the finance module to BudgetInMind for iPad. It allows you to record and follow your financial investments thoroughly.
BudgetInMind manages the cost basis for you, simplifies the entry of buy/sell operations, and can download stocks prices directly from the web.
To get a better view of your real assets, BudgetInMind can automatically revalorize your portfolios on a monthly basis, so that your Balance Sheet shows the true value of your financial assets.
- Automated trade entry generation: We will populate buy/sell book entry for you, using your portfolio/position structure
- Stock history download: Download historical data from the web for stocks that are publicly traded. Use the manual stock manager for privately help stocks
- Portfolio market value: Access the book value and market value of your investments. The gain we compute is your real gain, not a gain reset every year like it happens unfortunately too often in bank reports
- Automatic financial assets revalorization: Get the true economic value of your assets. You can turn on or off automatic assets revalorization so that you can either see the Book value of your assets in the Budget or the up to date market value of your financial assets
